Image Editor

High quality images play an important role for the end user in deciding on whether or not to buy into your product or service, so we understand how much our users put into ensuring the images they use look good. That's why we have a number of tools built into our platform to help you get the results you're after.

Getting started

To add an image to your content, click the 'upload' button and select the image from your computer. You can also drag and drop an image from the file explorer on your computer over the 'pastefile' option.

If you have already uploaded your image to the File Library, you can select the 'library' option and pick the image from the popup.

Once an image has been uploaded, you have a few options. In the box to the right, you can change the image by uploading or dragging it over 'pastefile', or you can delete it using the 'more' menu. The box in the middle provides options related to the current image. The 'AI' button will enhance the image automatically, whilst the 'image' button will allow you to have control over how the image is manipulated. Further details about these functions are detailed below.

The 'properties' button will provide a popup with extra details about the image. Most of these options can be tweaked if desired.

Working with image sizes

Let's take a closer look at the how you can work with images in Relatude. Selecting the 'image' button for your chosen image will open a new view like the one below. The panel on the right is split into 4 tabs.

The first tab contains a number of options related to the general size and configuration of the image. The first section simply allows you to zoom in or out of the image. The second section is used to crop the image. Click and hold to drag the edges or corners to crop the image to the way your want it. You also can manually set the height and width of the cropped area, and then drag the image to fit the placeholder.

Hitting the 'resize image' image button opens a box like the one below. You can change the values in the width and height fields using pixels or percentages. Ticking the 'maintain image proportions means that the image will not be stretched when it is resized, and you only need to change either the width or the height.

The last section under this tab allows you to rotate the image to either angle it or to straighten it up, along with the option to flip the image so it's mirrored horizontally and/or vertically.

Filters

Under the 'filters' tab, you can make use of the various sliders to make adjustments to the image (brightness, saturation, contrast, etc...) Each slider has a 'reset' button, so you can experiment with the different options. If you\re not happy, you can use the 'reset' options to revert back.

Using the inbuilt AI tools

The AI tab has a few additional features that can be used to enhance your images. When you choose one of the options, you'll be provided a preview option where you can compare the original image with the new one. You can move the line in the center sideways to help you easily see the differences. If you are happy with the new changes, click the 'accept' button and save the image. If you prefer the original image, you can choose 'cancel' instead.
